Nothing like the Others

I have to tell you I’m nothing like your others

Not only do my degrees and accomplishments carry me further

But I am stronger

I have been through things that would frighten you

That just the mere mention would stifle you

Authors win awards and get applauds for writing words about girls who have overcome a small glimpse into my world

I have to tell you I’m nothing like your others

Not only is the curve of my smile different because it means more than what it hides

But these eyes have seen so much pain that even when pain has stained my skies

Still like Maya I rise

I’m nothing life your others

There was a time when tears cease to fall

I ran out

Life dealt me every blow

But crawling on the floor I realized lower I could go no more

So up I began to stand… tall and here I am today refusing to fall

drowning in a sea of unknowingness

The future... I'm afraid I'm not sure what it holds

will I stand up to the pressures or just.. fold

stuck in this abyss of eternal darkness

floating with no direction or cause

Please someone save me I have no clue at all

what I am doing .....where I am going

 I'm drowning in my own world of confusion and uncertainty

Life has me rattled, afraid at the top of a ledge

Body free, hands out toes kissing the edge

Fallen

I've fallen so deep

There is no getting up.

You are the brightest star the darkest of nights

Guiding me through this thing call life

You are my the ground that I stand

Making sure that with my fall I have a soft place to land

I could go on but I just want you to know

You are my everything

The sun moon and stars

Protecting me from dangers, near and far

My love is everlasting and completely yours.

Weekend Friend

So the other day this girl hit me up

Yea we used to be cool

Clubs, shopping malls, drinks at noon by the pool

I thought we were friends, you know the type

Where you can talk the most and give unwarranted advice

I wish she understood what I thought we had.. I asked this girl to be a bridesmaid in my Wedding....

She accepted and smiled and was all kinds of geeked as was I

3 days later she text me and told me she'd lied. She said she could not even attend, she had other priorities.

I told her I get. I got you.  Loyalties.

So again. Ya'll know me I still think we are some type of cool 8 months later I invite her to another life event... Same Excuse.

She doesn't come to my home, Or celebrate with me on birthdays. I only see her on weekends. I think ya'll can see what type of friend she really is.

So she hit me and said " You are friends with som...

mmmmh.... that's what he makes me say

no words can describe the feelings that get stronger every day

no words to describe his touch...the only one i crave

no words can desribe his love that he so genourously gave away

no words can describe exactly how much i am diggin' him

no words can describe when he and I became we, they, us or them

I love him... but even those words can't explain

the man that has my heart for forever and a day

...But when ever asked about the man who fulfilled my every dream

all i can do is smile and mmmmh while i think exactly where to begin.

There's this man that I know

and I'm craving him mentally

those sweet nothings that he's always whispering

and the way that he touches me

There is no questioning... I want him more intimately

Without saying it should be known the man is a King

and to him I surrender every inch of me

My mind, my body and my soul

I completely relinquish to him happily

Knowing that these posessions he will  not hold lightly

Tight is his  through this life and into eternity

There's not much more that I can say

You've changed me..cliche. in every way

you make me better i hope you see

that without you there is no me

I have prayed a thousand times

and each time I believed

that God will bless me

Got me contemplating every decision i've ever made

every decision of every shade

Body ing nervously

wondering if this will be

the last decision i'll ever make

or the first of a new beginning

It seems that for forever and a day

I stay gripping the edge of my seat

contemplating you and me

You say you want me and you never want me to go

but from the actions i see, this does not show

you say you love me and that I should stay

what should i do? is the question i pray

I love you more than words can say

but I gotta pack my bags and be on my way

you see now is the time i gotta do what'

but we'll always be friends this much is true......
