Fleeting Weekends

CATEGORY

life

The weekend begins,
Our choices are enemies and friends,
As we put our 9 to 5's on the shelf,
And spend fractions of our life and wealth,
Saying and doing things that are bad for our health,
Time and responsibility loom in the balance,
TV yes, expense report no, yes to junk food, no to salads,
Would I feel guilty if I never had to work again?
Spending millions from a capricious lottery win?
Heeeelllll no, but as soon as this day dream ends,
It's already Monday morning and I'm back to the grind again...
