I'M ALWAYS CHASING RAINBOWS My own version of this old song

I'm always chasing rainbows

I'm always too fast or too slow

to catch the beautiful colored glow

and fly away inside its cradled bow

Is it my fault?

Do I believe all it takes is one determined reach

to win a seat at life's feast?

Rome wasn't built in a day, people say.

They don't know it's taking me forever and a day.

Yes I'm always chasing rainbows

I'm always too fast or too slow

to catch the beautful colored glow

and fly away inside its cradled bow

My hair is gray

My plans astray

From always chasing rainbows

Those multicolored promises

that make us Doubting Thomases

Oh my poor aching feet

and I know so much depends on being fleet!

Today all I want to do is eat and sleep.

Tomorrow?

Tomorrow might see me riding at last

each entrancing color through the sky.

For it's in my blood

I'm always chasing rainbows

do or die!
