its the steps we take that lead to the choices we make. we should pay attention to the voices we take for truth, that might be a mistake. whos real whats fake when the only difference i see between the two is a face. we can make it through anything as long as we keep a steady pace. but i understand the rush since some of us dont even know our place. it takes a village because without us whose going to teach our ways. we all can eat from the same plate. that dont mean we have to share the same taste. Its about time we appreciate instead of [self] segregate. or should we be ok with just ok. Lightskin? darkskin? Why does it matter when we [make-up] whatever skin we are disguised in. its funny how nobody wants nobodies yet everybody needs [every] body when they want to become somebodies. it used to be easy we just bartered this for that. now its charter this and thats. all sales final plus tax - no trade backs. Politicians tossing our tax dollars. that fall like meteor showers. falling stars that burnout and fade away. in time even time wont be able to make change. however odd [even] people do so the least we can do. is keep the traditions we learned as youths. from the bloodstained concrete where the milkweed grew. and all we had was a story or two. Campfire horror tales that just happen to be true. I lost over five homies and the news only mentioned two. media instigating hate crime aint it the truth. [black and white] on [black] aint it the proof. So its eye for an eye until the last tooth. Unwilling participants in a competition among losers over whos who. When im no better than you however these "so called house negroes" fool us into thinking that thats no longer true. Self imposed black leadership talking that good talk but never getting the problems solved. same ones holding up signs safely marching until the police say [walk]! or dont cross that line! So WHAT THE *** IS [freedom] WHEN WE ARE STILL CONFINED IN OUR MINDS.
