If I go a day without thinking of you
my nights are consumed with visions of you
those eyes that provoke fantasy
your soul's windows burn right through me
the shape of your face, curve of your smile...
the way you put your hair in that whimsical style...
I left too soon.
I knew it then.
I had to prove to myself you were right,
with the hopes you were wrong.
this experiment has gone on too long.
