When the Carney brothers started Pizza Hut,

They borrowed $600 bucks,

From their parents to start their dream,

That's about $5,000 in today's green,

Do you think that you could do the same now?

There's over fifteen thousand Pizza Huts around (the world),

It's not impossible, but 5K and a dream is a tall task,

Unless you create a new app or some device to rival an iPad,

Suppose you start small and have some skill,

Own a Barber Shop or rent some mom & pop spot for a good deal,

You need employees, customers, and a web site,

Even with little debt, your dream's success will keep you up at night,

So you work hard and put up a smart fight,

Target Direct Mail, pushing retail, with digital and social marketing you can't fail,

But some days are slow, so you read your mail,

Government wants their taxes,

You feed them lines like Hollywood actresses,

Stalling until you get ahead of your overhead,

Your dream it seems fails to make substantial bread,

You were meager, yet eager to succeed,

You can't sell your phone, communication's a vital need,

So you abandon your social life,

Plans with family and friends and time with your wife,

And invest all of your soul,

With a singular goal,

To make your small business successful and profitable.
