Can we sit on the porch?

can we sit on the porch and listen to the rain?
reminisce on how we fell in love
discuss energy and destiny versus free will again?
debate on what’s fact and fiction
and who gets to decide
deliberate on who makes the rules
and whom should abide

or we could just enjoy the breeze
while tasting the moisture in the air
mixed with our own desires our own needs...
while running our fingers through each other's hair.

we can exercise our minds flirt with a muse
recite freestyle sonnets to one another
laugh at off the top of the head
haikus

let’s bring heavenly bodies
into our realm
as we shower within nature's tears
shed our hu(e)man form
renouncing all sacred text
the pure energy of the universe
guides us dogmatic ideas?
we to evolved to entertain any of that.

let's take a run in the down pour
lose ourselves in her cleansing
sacrifice ourselves on top her crust spilling ourselves onto her
merging bodies while seeping our pure lust
chant mantras paying homage to her…

to the universe…

to us

we could splash in pools
spattering mud all over the place
on your arms
on my thighs
on our face
drenched and covered in the earth's flesh
we can paint hieroglyphs one another
as we roll around in her clay
returning to her, her cosmic energies igniting the elements from which we came
pressing reset on that antiquated adam and eve

fore in the beginning there was
just us
