How come there aren't a bunch of rich poets?
Musicians, comedians, writers and playwrights know it,
Artists must make songs, movies and more,
Because original thoughts and ideas bore,
The masses, think back to your classes in school,
Students studying literature bored to tears and drool,
Not engaged by words on a page,
But lyrics evoke emotions from joy to rage,
While jokes shock and awe with instigation,
And stories, plays, and movies pique our imagination.

Everyone would answer differently, there is something so authentic about a starving artist, the starving artist is not hungry for food money or fame, the starving artist leans to only one motive and that is to fulfil the call by any means necessary regardless the sacrifice. Should one become rich one must understand that it is only to enrich the lives of others. |
