This is a story that was told to me I took it and translated it into poetry Out of the corner of my eye I see my enemy I don't know why it don't look good to me I'm in the streets with my family I ain't what I used to be Still it don't look good for me Haven't been in the Hood in a long time haven't seen his face in a long time my how time flied Looks like my past has caught up with me Caught me Slippin I thought I was free There's consequences to everything what's wrong with me I know not to disobey the codes of the street I come in peace Lord help me please I'm in the streets with my family I ain't what I used to be Still it don't look good to me There's a bluebird on my shoulder I can't kill it Deaths around the corner I can feel it it's a 9 I can hear it I killed before I'm sorry for it Didn't feel I had a choice In the matter what's the matter does my life matter Lord please hear my voice on my knees Knocking on Heaven's Door I'm standing Outdoors my wife and kids are in the store What is the sacrifice what is the price what am I paying for For the Savior to come and save my life I know what it is like seeing Your life pass before you die In the nine zero zero 5 nine
It didn't look good for me
