don't mind pushing a man in a wheelchair
together you both will get there
you may be the only one out of breath
still you'l be the only one with legs left
to put one foot in front of the other
extending help displays more wealth
than the high end of society always
trying to be outlandishly seen with their
flamboyant charities pretentious false
affection reaching out to lock their doors
when they see you at an intersection
standing out holding a sign they look
in the other direction as if to pay you
no mind, thumbing up their nose
writing proposals getting grants
profiting off of you but won't even
bother to buy you an outfit or a new
pair of shoes a bunch of hypocrites
feeding you oat and grits as if you're
on display in a petting zoo. I understand
your struggle, believe me I do that's why
I'm trying to explain this truth to you
you want to live...don't you
