UntitledExcerpt from an autobiography unwritten Story of a brother always love bitten
Perpetually smitten
Friend zone trippin
Keeps his head up and never caught slippin
Connection so strong he had to pull away
Timing too wrong. Today is not the day.
Table for two with one place setting
Smiling with envy
At couples love letting
Streets still cold
85 degrees hot
Buying kids icees from the truck down the block
Just to see joy by some kind of means
Sisters making proclamations from blaring memes
Social media killed the dating scene
People hurt themselves
Masturbating on some theme
Makes the man scream
Silent on his deen
Silent screaming makes the shakes
Artificial stimulation intervenes
To hit the breaks

(Untitled)If I go a day without thinking of you my nights are consumed with visions of you those eyes that provoke fantasy your soul's windows burn right through me the shape of your face, curve of your smile... the way you put your hair in that whimsical style... I left too soon. I knew it then. I had to prove to myself you were right, with the hopes you were wrong. this experiment has gone on too long. I keep a distance cause I want to be closer closer than a fat woman's toes in a too small shoe. let me grow on you show you a thing or two you can even show me something new. Open minded enough to let you be my teacher you'll have my full attention, you fascinating creature. Each day should be different as I look at you with a new eye. Be a stranger to me so I ... |
(Untitled)Ain't no morning embraces No warming cool spaces in my bed...she's in my head. No caressing No sighs from a touch No professing "I love you so much" Waking to the rhythm of her breath on my neck composing music to the timing of the rise of her breasts Watching her sleep half smiling Image got me wil'in She's not in my bed She's in my head... (Untitled)Her beauty gave me life when it took my breath. I mean so arresting! How can I protest? This must be in jest But, convince my chest That houses this heart on a blinded quest It wants. What it wants. What it wants only taunts. And here she is now in front of me all graceful with her flaunts. If only I were bolder. I'm twice her age older But damn, just to hold her! I smile a shy blush, Hiding how I crush. Timing is everything. All rewards are just. For the right chemistry I'll wait ...some things you can't rush.... -Haakim Understanding 9/19/2016 |
DateMy heart thought your name was a sing - along... Just a one word song 16 measures long On replay Your eyes a kaleidoscope of promise Extracting every honest notion Of devotion Adrift on the Blue Nile at Alice Coltrane's direction Myrhh smoke surrounds you in curious inspection Clinging to you like an aura I'm in awe of the draw of the law of attraction Defying all reason , in this cosmic fashion Losing all ration Daring not to question why |
U N I VerseAs she moves to the rhythm of my pulsating rays Playfully teasing under my gaze Intoxicating hills, mountains, ripples and waves Covered by 3/4 ths overlays The mental visual plays. Finger lumens caress and rove Flick and probe tickle and pinch Patiently exploring every square inch. A galactic minx Bringing me to brinks Prospecting her nectar for energy drinks Spin at a terrific speed changeable and swift indeed her winds will cut in a storm Yet the right currents keep her warm Spinning in orbit at 93 still in full form To know the cipher and understand the God ahm smiling at her curves. Damn it's hard could shatter light into shards Transforming crystals to stars must dip in her dew It's mountin' and this fountain bout to spit atomic stew nucleatin' and hydratin' keepin up with her gyratin' vibratin', ... |
