Voices In My Head

I'm backed into a corner; all my choices in the red,
then look back with regret on all the choices that I've fled,
it started out as squeaking like the noises in a bed,
so all I'm hearing now are all the voices in my head,

that tell me swallow all these pills to make the hurting stop,
or slowly pull the trigger 'til I hear a certain pop,
that no one gives a f*€k about you; d@mn the hurt is deep,
they say it'll go away for good when in eternal sleep.

But what about my children is the question that I ask,
they answer me with ways it'd be a question of the past,
another voice says don't hurt T and Bash-Man in this way,
but most times I just feel like it could be the end today.

The more that I ignore them all the louder they become,
my odds of tuning out are like a flower on the sun,
it's like they're trapped within me and I just can't get 'em out,
the score ain't even close I'm getting slaughtered; yes a rout.

I've tried to go the right way but it all has gone so wrong,
the voices say I stand no chance; it's best to say so long,
to everything this life has brought me; misery, disdain,
but then I grab the faces of my children in my brain,

and kick out of the pinfall; pull myself up off the mat,
the light inside me shines on how I'm truly lost in fact,
the road that I've been walking on is where the strong may roam,
I'll use my inner GPS and walk the long way home.
