What you thought versus reality
Life, school, work, relationships, and family
In total it averages out close to expectation,
Our very existence is mostly boring, tedious, and a manifestation
Of what we've been told
Programmed in our genetic code
The price paid for people, places and things sold
Everything is just okay, and that's okay
If everything were terrible or awesome we wouldn't want it to be that way
Balance provides us with perspective
Utopia does not exist because we're too selective
Look at Adam and Eve
If you truly believe
They never knew hunger, pain or disease
Yet bored with perfection
They chose to make a selection
Forbidden fruit? Duh, what is this?
At the birth of knowledge, ignorance's death was bliss
Lucifer was an angel once and couldn't wait to escape to hell
We exist to constantly balance the scale
