They don't know the wars we been in
The tears and lost of friends
Since our birth on this earth
Or whence the winds come again
Or the dark roads that we travel
On the front lines of battle
Where blood runs thru our city streets
And seeps down through the gravel
They don't know the pain we felt
Or our silent cries out for help
Beneath the dark and gray clouds
Where we have no one else but ourselves
They don't know the dungeons we live in
Or the pungent smell of broken men
Where shattered dreams cut like glass
They pretend but they don't understand
They don't know the trauma that we suffer
Or why our lives are so much tougher
Or why we're forced inside this box
Or the we see down here in the gutter
They don't know all the hurt that we feel
Or what it's like to see a friend killed
They don't know the thin line that we walk
Battlescared out in the killing fields
Where even Angels fear to tread
And the system put prices on our heads
They don't what it's like to be alive
But living in a world that wants you dead....
