Life is our canvas
Whether we choose crayon,
Pencil, ink, water colors
Or oil paints, will determine
How permanent things will be.
How much work we're willing
To put into it and what we get out of it.
Crayons are for children and
Eventually fade away.
Pencil can be erased and done over.
It's how we learn from our mistakes,
We make corrections.
But how far will you go until
That one spot you're continually
Writing on and erasing over and over
Forms a gray haze that won't go away?
Or becomes a hole in your paper?
How many times will it take before
Moving on and starting fresh?
Or making things more permanent with ink?
Ink is not as easily erased
But can fade over time like anything else.
As we grow, ink becomes more
Of a necessity in our lives.
It's where we start making more permanent
Decisions on how and where
Our life needs and is to go.
In a sense laying the second foundation
And create stability
For a solid future.
Yes, I said a second foundation
Because the first one was created
By our parents and everyone
Whose had an impact on our childhood.
Molding and shaping us along the way.
Helping us to put things in perspective.
Showing us how to have faith
And courage despite how bad off
We think we may be
And most importantly
Giving us the knowledge that there's
Always someone else that has less,
That's doing a lot worse than we are.
So as long as we are going through life,
We have to do our best
To remain as humble as possible.
Humility can be one of life's greatest
Teachings as long as we recognize
The fact that there is no one person
Greater than the other.
We are all equal in the eyes of God
And we all fall short of His glory.
So with that being said
Life is ready for you.
Are you ready for it?
