Your drop off your dirty laundry
wrinkled and soiled so I can sort
through where the colors are
you just dispose of them because
you said that they were no
use to you anymore
so being the loving kind
considerate person I am I picked
him up out the trash washed and
cleaned the gutter off him where
you left him stained.
Stains of your self-righteousness
and your in consideration of his
feelings
you did not cater to his needs you
wore him like a mink coat at first, all
clingy and warm then as he seemed to
loose his luster
Or maybe he did not shine enough for you to
be seen?
you tossed him to the side
having a temper tantrum for
something new, once you got it
he became your old rags, like
they say, one man’s junk is
another man’s treasure
Well honey let me tell you “you’re old
trash, “dirty clothes”
I have washed starched and ironed
him and the more I care for him the
better he looks
so now your rags are my
million dollar mink
the most beautiful thing I ever saw
you see sometimes if you just take the
time to listen to care, and even share
a small piece of yourself
you will be surprised at the jewels
you find in a dirty piece of clothes
