amidst all the inconsistecies of your daily walk with him

when the 99 sheep were in the fold God's heart was with the one that was lost

put on the full armor of God that you maybe able to stand the firey darts of the evil one

we are being bombarded daily so gird yourself in the strength of Jesus

dig much deeper then ever before

for thou we walk in the flesh we war not after the flesh

the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds...

everyday is another test I must confess bridge the gap between heaven & hell

now I got a good story to tell

when I was young I used to dream about far off places with kings and queens

now that I'm older I have learned to shelter with the word of God as my guide

thank the good Lord above that i'm still very much alive

for I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor this present nor things to come shall be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ the Lord.

Satan comes to kill, steal & destroy

this is his chief aim & ploy

relax in the vast expanse between time & space

choose to live each day by faith

Satan is not some caped crusader he is a liar who will soon burn in the fire

Ancients

It’s my last day with the old giants
In mourning I hike the lost trails,
sniffing the aroma of the bark,
that cinnamon of the forest
Under teepees of wood
in a membrane of shadows,
I stalk the earth, its mammal traces,
its elusive tracks,
to sit on a fallen log
where spiders macramé,
moss sloping to my knees
unaware of invisibles within,
grubbing in their tunnels
A lizard taps my foot,
responding, I muse to its touch,
my thoughts like Indian visions,
And when daylight mushrooms into night,
and an owl hoots from cedar,
I still sit with a lizard on my shoe
Huddled with the ancients of the woods

Summer Was Young

I thought the summer was young
And the blossoms had barely just bloomed
And the tunes of the season still hung
Yet it suddenly left us and now we are doomed

I thought that the summer began
It’s smells had just wafted right through
But the season has picked up and ran
And the leaves have descended in every fall hue

The summer it never was young
It aged long before it appeared
It wilted before it had sprung
And it long so has gone; disappeared...

The Artist Brush

I saw the artist paint with brush,
The setting sun, the lengthening shade
The near and further distant hills,
The valley where the lily shows its blade

And hides the nest of the noble thrush
He painted the valleys with their streams,
The giant oak and the stately pine
The quaking aspen leaves afloat

The evening breeze of summertime
And he left me standing lost in dreams
He mixed his colors in varied hue
As clouds suspended from the sky

From swaying limbs where the robin sings
And the eagles nest in mountains high
Beneath a sky of azure blue
It’s here the artist stops and stands

Spellbound, he cannot overcome the spell
The sun, now set, has changed the scene
With different colors in the dell
He cannot match the master’s hand
