there was a time we used to pray yet for today you claim it ought not be that way
used to be a custom to stand for the nations anthem
to hold open the door for our neighbor
now we treat each other as in a fight with a caped crusader
our minds are being saturated by lies does this all come at a big enough surprised
sorrowful passions in our trusted reactions
we tend to hide behind four walls that bind
love has taken a back seat for compromised temporal lust
our twentieth first century world in quite a bit of rush
when push comes to shove we retreat and get out of the way

yet some of us still bleed in the night with flirting faces
disillusioned by photographs on how are life should be
don't you know its based on somebody else's fantasy
still what are we willing to achieve
the blind leading the blind and soon will fall into a ditch
its a hit or miss
such as square begs trying to fit through ivory holes
who is going to stop this death toll
Our chief aim to fame is seeking self to please
better off getting down on our knees
who holds the royal keys stop spreading the disease
