before you start
just stop loving me
I never fall for
that kind of thing

lived long enough to
know it's more then rain
it's a lot of ish to the game
falling on the ground

can't get up without
making a sound
system setup to
break us down

 born in good dope time
that's when dope was pure
only reason for getting high
was to get the cure

meat was real no one could spell synthetic tomato tomahto lettuce was lettuce to meet our needs we go get it even though half the time the man won't let us

feeling groovy and mature back
when Pimp's dressed in wild
 colors and pea feathers

checked hoes that were finer than
thin lines on loose leaf paper
much respect limit on haters
no one complained bout much

sept' the man and when is it
going to rain across the tracks
every one caught the vapor

the masses knew the time
sunshine and end of days
coz that's what
grandma's mama told me

way back when Jesus was a
white man framed on walls
like a giant walking tall
 though New York City

stepping over twin Towers
only thing missing was a cape
on his back I guess no one
thought about that fact

it would have been
something to Marvel at
like a  caped mouse
wearing black panties
was a mighty mouse
