Society Is Blind You See So I Devout Myself To Poetry Then Face Reality

deep inside I got pain that I hide
so I kick it to the curb at a word
there is social injustice that effects so many
craving ice cream with big dreams
falling apart at the seams
yet in our twisted ways we wake to a purple haze
some in our society can't help you
cause they can't even help themselves
see life is too short yet we dismiss a fart
a feel good feeling from deep inside
we make plans we break plans
do we ever give up it depends
all the heros and legends I knnew as a child
have crumbled to idols of clay
society is not the same you see
something is blowing in the wind
eyes with spots having holes
we fight, *** &
strangers in a strange land
soon will be in a great ditch
so sorry that you missed

reality to some has become combersome to this world
with its twist & turns
one soul soars while the other will burn
when will we ever learn
so quick to judge
we push things under the rug
when push comes to shove
all we really need is a hug
there is reality in falling in love
some may equate a barricade with twisted lied
does this come at a big enough surpries
poetry is an escape for me
to go where no man can go
embark on treasures of long ago
to bask in the vast expanse
between space and time
in time we shall climb
to the fullness of our potential
equated logic is a potential
yet we so often settle as if a twitched nerve
as if you haven't already heard or seen
the writing on the wall
for I will seak to stand ten feet tall
amidst the gloom & doom
taking the time to clean my room
yet I will be gone to soon

deep within us all there is a heavenly call
a small but still voice with a choice
we are destined for greatness
in all of our achievement
mark the man willing to explore
the vast door that leads to awe so much more
painted faces in the window having storms in the night
never give up on the fight
in golden nuggets of exploration
