Marvin Marvin
there's too many poems to write
brother, brother, brother
sometimes it's hard to go out side
I sure wish god would lend an ear
to this world today we have yet
to find some love here today
set ups setbacks & bad breaks is all we got
long unemployment line the revolution is online too
when we holler and throw up
our hands can you hear us
screaming down hear from
up there or is there something
blocking your view I'm asking you
sunshine don't feel how it used too
I don't think the sun is real
nothing seems to be what it
seems it's like walking in a dream
still running from being
punished with brutality
for protesting boycotting and picketing
half the world still thinks were wrong
since Katrina we've been
treated like refugees
if you see grace & mercy
please tell them it's an emergency
we need them in a hurry
hate is a beast holding
on to us refusing to release us
down here they're called police
there are so many things
we should renounce unfortunately
angels names are hard to pronounce
I wish that I could say that today
things ain't what they use to be
is there any ear in the spirit world listening
WHAT'S GOING ON?
coz sh!t ain't RIGHT ON
