Hey there my fellow poets! Blessings and greetings to you all for a prosperous new year. Life has been pretty rough for me since I last posted but nonetheless, as always with God's mercy and grace I've persevered. I'm finally at a point where I can start posting again. I so miss being on here and reading everyone's works. I hope that everything is going well for everyone. Let's keep the inklove flowing!

A Cup of Grace

CATEGORY

When we really look at
Our inner selves
We get to see how blessed
We truly are.
After the heart healing,
The contemplation
And soul searching,
We find our blessings
Come to us in many different forms
Some of which remain unseen
Til the end of weathered storms.
God knows all, hears all and sees all
He knows when we're feeling lost
He knows when we need fulfillment.
And as fellow poet, Brother mlowe5
Put it in such an eloquent perspective
As he commented on one of my works
Entitled "Doing Okay", he said
"Yes indeed! Isn't it wonderful
How the most high God
Knows when we feel empty?
And then He overflows
Our cup of Grace so
That we suddenly find ourselves
Sipping from our saucer."
Putting to rest any amount
Of doubt we may harbor
That we're doing
Any less than okay.
Now imagine his statement
Just for a moment.
And think about that cup of Grace.
Can you imagine how much
Our world would change
If we reached a point
Within ourselves where
We could see all of the blessings
God gives us from
That cup of Grace?
Our most fulfilling blessings
Come when our heads
Are bowed in prayer,
Our hands are raised with praise,
And our hearts reverently humbled.
We were asked to have faith
In Him no matter what
And if we hold as much faith
In him as a grain of a mustard seed
We'll see and understand
The extent to which His grace
Can truly take us
Even when we're still
Sipping from our saucers.
So be vigilant with
Your inner selves
And of the blessings
Given to you that flow
Free and unconditionally
From that cup of Grace.
You wouldn't want to miss out
Stay humble my friends.

This is so touching... Yes The Most High God is so beneficent and so merciful. He tries the believer's faith in our times of hardship to see if we are really believers or are we hypocrites. His cup of Grace is the purest drink that we could ever taste. Thank you for Sharing this Masterpiece, I bet even God smiled after reading this.

WOW! What a powerful, graceful pen, Ladypoet45! A prayer of thanksgiving poem indeed. May your pregnant poetic mind continue to overflow. May we continue to sip from the saucer of His Cup of Grace. And let us always know that our God has not brought us this far to leave us. We still have yet to experience the wonders of the Unmoved Mover! May we continue to keep to Him smiling as He continues to over our cup. I must confess that the sockets of my orbs began to overflow as I read this pen more than once. Inded, as Brother KQD so eloquently said "...His cup of Grace is the purest drink that we could ever taste..." Keep Him smiling, Sister! Peace, Love and Much Blessings, Millard Lowe (mlowe5)
