You linger in the form of bruises. 

Routing a roadmap on my body of all your favorite places. 
A constant reminder of the fire I wish I could deny but always give into. 
Sentencing me to a honorable death of insects:
As i become the doomed moth drawn to your flame. 

Your heat is like the sun as it warms me slowly, scorching my skin.
And just like in summer, I can not stay out of those rays. 
Leaving me with what I think will be a warm heated glow that we both know is a brilliant burn. 

Making all movements a reminder of any time spent with you.
Each reminder becomes a urge of hunger that quickly turns into cravings
-cravings then become consuming and insatiable. 

How did I suddenly become yours and when did I stop being my own?
Even when it hurts I want more. 
The worst part is you know this but knowing is simply never enough for you. 
You have to hear me say it-beg for it. 

And I do.

Resistance is futile and we both know you will get it out of me eventually. 

I can no longer recognize myself, but instead I see recognize your fingertips.
Imprinted on me for all to see, claiming me
Constant marks announcing me as yours, making it an impossible fact to hide. 

Branding me as claimed territory in the Brave New World,
Commandeering me as your personal private property. 

You are a creature I have never encountered before,
Showing me what it is like to be conquered.
