This Year

This year is the year,

Time to move forward from here,

This year is the year for you to change,

Leave your tears and troubles behind your pain,

Feel good about yourself and be happy for everything else,

This year, forget about the rest, and be grateful for what you have left,

Life is long, life is short,

But you can measure up to anything you want,

Yes, you can, that is right, I am talking about you,

This year you can do anything, you put your mind to,

It might be a challenge, but you can handle it,

If it is not hard for you, then it must not be for you!

Did I say that? Yes, I did,

This year, do not give up, just finish,

This year, if you did not know God, you can get to know him now,

You can ignore all you want, but Jesus will be knocking at your door,

Just so you know, you better do your chores,

God Is Able

God is able, and He will provide for whatever you may be going through inside,

He will always be there for you when no one else can,

And He will always be there to comfort you with His mighty hands,

When you are down on your knees and crying out,

Remember God is able, and He will be there to help you out “no doubt,”

While we continue to fight this battle, we call “life,”

God will provide if you continue to walk in His light,

We all need to learn to manage with what God has given,

And each day that goes by, will be all right if we believe in Him,

God is able to bring you out of any trials or tribulations,

Even through your doubts and frustrations,

For God sits high and looks low,

As we all look up to that one place we want to go,

God is able, God is in control, God is real, and God is all,

On This Journey

This has been a long journey,

Looking out across the blue sky as I travel on wheels covered by the blood of Jesus,

On a journey, looking across the sky as a pink yellowish color appears as the sun sets on California,

This beautiful land as God made it,

I have seen many things on this journey,

So many of God’s children are homeless and as I walk along the sidewalk of San Francisco there is a man in old torn clothes, holding a cup out asking for spare change,

I walked right by him, then something came to my mind, I realized I could be a blessing to someone else,

And something so small could make a big difference, so I turned back around, reached into my pocket to get some change and dropped it into the man’s cup,

And he rejoiced with a thank you!

My heartfelt good as I heard the coins land into his cup,

And now I realized that that sound meant that there is hope in his fu...

Who Knows?

Life is just a big question mark…

To my mom,

Who knows the truth behind a smile?

Who sees the pain inside each teardrop that falls from your eyes,

Who knows that you have sadness running through your veins, and you just don’t know how to let it out,

Who knows that you are crying of hurt in your heart?

Who knows that you think you don’t belong in this world,

Who knows that you don’t think great of yourself and you feel like you should be doing better, but the world just keeps knocking you down,

Who knows that you just feel like telling the whole world to, “Shut up?”

Who knows that you just want to tell a loved one what is wrong, but you don’t know where to start,

Who knows that you are sorry for all your wrong and you just want them to leave you alone,

But that’s right who knows?

Only my God above ...

The Inner Feelings of My Heart

My feelings can sometimes be sad, happy, angry, and most of all loving,

Sometimes I wonder why I have those feelings, but one day I realized that my feelings made me who I am,

Everything in this world is like a “twister,” that whirls around with mixed emotions,

I see people every day, and I look at them with a somewhat confused look,

And I always try to figure out how they feel inside,

For me, it is a mystery, and I have a strong feeling of anxiety running through my veins,

People are different in their own way, but I guess that is why we have so many things of this so-called “world,” we live in,

We have a heart and a mind, that is filled with lots of emotions,

Our feelings may sometimes get hurt but that is what we do to each other,

We have children in this world like me; wonder why do we do such things?

It is all kinds of hearts being torn apart and thrown...

How Does It Feel?

How does it feel?

The beautiful land as God made it,

How does it feel to be left alone in it?

Being abandoned by your loved ones and wondering why did they leave?

Being ignored, and treated as if I was a stranger,

Why did they leave me?

A stranger in my own town,

I was scared out of my mind, body shaking as if I were in cold water,

How does it feel when you are cold inside?

I am living lonely without a family and a home,

How does it feel to be alone?

I could not sleep at all, every time I closed my eyes, the roaring thunder would wake me,

I always thought that when it thundered, I thought that God was angry with all the bad people in it,

I did not have a bed,

How does it feel not to have a home?

For some of us, we would not know,

Let us all come together and help the lost.

Life Is Tough

Life is tough no matter where you go,

Life can be very painful, so painful that you can just cry until you cannot anymore,

Life is just a struggle, something we cannot get used to,

People not being able to put food on the table, and clothes on their back,

Sometimes when we get into that difficult situation, we want to give up,

However, we know that it’s not worth doing,

We have to stay strong and fight until the end,

Nevertheless, when my family is not in that situation I know someone else is,

I always cry, because it hurts to see someone go through that much pain,

When I feel like that I get down on my knees and pray, but know “Life is Tough,”

There are people right now sleeping under bridges,

I feel like I have to do something, something that can make them feel loved,

Because if that were me, I would want to be loved,

Nothing is bet...

Who Will Help?

Who will help, for the little girls fighting for peace?

Who will help the soldiers fighting for you and me overseas?

We think, we know, we seek, we go,

Who will help, for the little boy who is sick?

Just wanting to go outside and play,

Who will help, that mother or father who is praying for someone to pitch in?

Hoping that someone is praying for his or her child to be healthy again?

We think, we know, we seek, we go,

Who will help, the mother who is all alone, wanting that kind man to hold her in his arms?

Who will help the children, listening to their mother’s cry?

And wondering why did their father leave?

Who will help, for that strong woman who has cancer in her body?

Who will love and pray by her side to remind her that she is the abundance of life?

We think, we know, we seek, we go,

Who will help, for the man that knew what he did,...

Life Through a Storm

I am sitting down on my bathroom floor with my mom and brother,

God sent us a storm,

Lightning feeling the sky and flickering like a candlelight,

Thundering and roaring like a lion,

The thunder is like a beat I keep as I sleep,

Thinking about how good God is to me,

I hear the heavy raindrops falling on to the roof,

The rain is like tears that I share with God,

God is my life,

I kind of feel scared but I know I should not fear because God is here,

God is my shelter in a time of storm,

So I should not feel in harm,

I should be alarmed, and have faith in his name,

I know I cannot see faith, but I can believe and forever……PRAY,

God is powerful,

Thank you, Lord, you are my keeper,

I am your believer,

You are my father, and I am your child,

So now, I look up to you and smile.
