Echoes of elders' fainted whispers
Linger about my inner ear of how
The difference between us and them
Will determine our success;
The complexion for the connection,
The hair to compare,
And the status of "privilege" theory
If you will.
Willie did a hell of a job
Staining our ancestor's minds.
You know, those binds that confine
The true freedom of our minds.
And it wasn't just us,
He got them white folks too.
Got it planted in they heads,
They're better than you.
Knowing good and dang well
We're all equal in the eyes of God.
A self evident truth
Not held up by man,
But acknowledged by nods.
So in order for man
To truly succeed
The syndrome must die,
Put to death swiftly
Without hesitation and
With unheard cries.
We are the change that matters
The difference that
Determines our success.
We're the ones who have
The advantage when our
Knowledge is at its best.
