Why I’m disappointed

Maybe I’m disappointed because I had too much faith in you

From the get

I prayed on it and hoped you didn’t forget

About me and my longing for you

I just knew you were the one for me 

And I was done looking and accepting other offers 

Kind of like a job you were the best opportunity that came my way

But just like an unhappy employee I knew you wouldn’t stay any longer

But as you began to drift away my feelings became stronger 

And all of that attention you showed me was cut short

No calls No shows you were ready to abort the pursuit

Ugh I got to tell you

Well I wanted to tell something  but

Ummm (breaks into song) nevermind I’ll find someone like you

Feeling me Feeling you

Once I look into your eyes

I feel our souls

Intertwine, or somewhat catch fire

Afraid to get in too deep

Because this feeling may expire

When I sense you near

My heart begins to flutter

Suddenly then my mind  is filled with clutter

Thoughts of course of how I could confidently

Express these feelings you bring me

Without you mistaking my thoughts as being too clingy

You know what I just wanna skip the small talk

Are you feeling me like I’m feeling you?

To fill the void or to avoid

Ughh keep telling myself
I don’t wanna be here!

I didn’t ask to be here!

Yet here I am giving you more than I should
Receiving less than I should
I know better but I refuse to do better
Maybe Because the feeling of being wanted is more fulfilling at the moment
Maybe I like You making mistakes 
And it won’t matter to me if you ever own up to them
Maybe I’m just lonely and I need something or someone to feel that void
Cause baby deep down I know you are someone I need to avoid
Because you don’t give me anything
