Fall of the Man

Death over color such a shame,
Never an end to this immature game,
Children twisting up their fingers before they can speak,
Taught to say blood or cuz and raised by the streets,
Never taught a way out or offered a change of pace, from this race to a 6 by 10 cell or a casket with tears and a wake,
Killing off each other without a real reason other than being the enemy of the color rag he's swinging,
Friends turn to enemies and families split apart. How could they be so willing to turn their back on those who were there from the start?

Rappers, Hustlers play the role models for a generation without,
Fast cars, clothes, women and money quickly replace the feelings of doubt,
"No work is the best work, cash at an easy pace, hustle till you get it and f*ck whoever get in the way. Money over everthing has taken the place of God over all." Being your own man is considered selling out, falling in love is a feeling this generation doesn't know about.

Raised by mothers who struggled to exist,
Dad walked out to take care of "his" kids, so this young boy is forced to suffer and be raised in a broken home cause his father didn't believe this child shared the traits from his chromosomes.
Fast forward to 25 years later, this boy is now a man, cant remember his father cause you cant remember something you never had,
Untrusting of his woman and promiscuous too, figuring if his dad had different woman than he can too.
Now that's just one boy raised in a bad situation, lets be reminded he's not alone, others raised around drugs, some abused and neglected, sweeping their problems under the rug just choosing to accept it.

Generation after generation continue to fall apart, no end in sight because the problems were here from the start.

Repetition of the mental prohibition of an adolescent guides the path to psychological deconstruction that he is soon to suffer. Following the path of least resistance to a future of misguided conceptions, uncertain hopes, forgotten dreams and the fall of the man that boys used to wanna grow up to be.
