Subconsciously Flawed

Thinking you are better than the rest

When you are nothing less than a mere perfectionist

Subconsciously flawed

On the surface you appear to be whole

Yet beneath the surface

Feelings of inadequacy 

Lack of compassion, modesty

Overpower your soul

Lost in the realms of reality

Where your arrogance consumes you

You are not superior 

Nor are you inferior

Even out the scales

And find balance within

As you are not the image of perfection

You are subconsciously flawed

Just like the rest...

Life is like a rose

New beginnings
with no end
a story to tell
when our children grow older
Ironic, how a rose
can metaphorically resemble who we are
describe what we are
surrounded by a story
one of which
will follow
through our kids
as you say
life is, like a rose
love and pain
with much to gain
yet so beautiful...
to maintain its Beauty
to maintain its health
the goal is to know
how to feed its soul
cultivating its roots
as it unfolds and blooms

Into this rose of beauty

Filled with the foundation of

Knowledge, love, power

Struggles and strife

Yet it takes all the positive and negative

For such a beautiful flower to evolve

Much like it takes the same

For the beauty within us to evolve
guided through the lord above
feeding into nothing else
but our love

World Upside down

Feeling as if my world has turned upside down
inside out

in a matter of 48 hrs

unable to sleep
not knowing whether to run

or follow these "words to live by"
Part of me wants to run
afraid of what is left to be said
afraid of the unknown 
Only to realize...
half of it, I already know

the other half

wishes

it could only rewind time

Scared
feelings of loneliness and confused
my heart, torn in two 
Always thought NO ONE could come between us  
my "Husband", my lover, my best friend, my confidant

you were a major part of me
trusting you with my heart like no other
no man given the ability to conquer and ascertain my heart as a whole...
until I met you 
Only to find myself in extreme pain
a wound penetrating deep within my veins
through the root ...

Surpassing Fear

You caused me so much pain
at times you drive me insane
no more escalating your stress into a fight
no more shutting me out of your life
when I am your life, your wife
through the whispers of the night
no one else will fight for our love
like you and me
cant you see...
change can sometimes feel strange
to let go of all that you've known
and fear the unknown
just know...your heart I will cherish as if it were my own
take a look at the light that has shed upon us
the blessings bestowed amongst us
perfect is only a word, its action has no existence
yet you seem so persistent to find the act of perfection
when it seizes to exist
as I sit here I reminisce of the days we 1st met
of how much we have progressed

On the surface

You appear to be a good man

A decent man

A strong man

With a heart pure as gold

Nevertheless

This is on the surface

As I find my way searching

You have tore my soul apart

Don’t get me started

So much pain I have endured

As the wounds heel

Many scars to mend

Never knew I would encounter

The information I have received

Always thought

Until now

That had always been my perception

Deceived by the one I loved and adored

Perception was such

a misconception of reality

From the man I loved

Finding myself

Alone and confused

Sitting here

As my heart cries

Contemplatin...

Turn the page

Heart of the matter is

There comes a time

When You must let go

Hard as it may be

The doors must close

And you must turn the next chapter

You must overcome your fears of the unknown

And let the lord above

Shed light on what IS

To be known

Reality is

These doors…

You have already closed

Not knowing

You have taken

Your leap on faith

You have already taken the first step

Into the arms

Of your success

Follow your inner voice

It has never failed you

Into your heart

Doubts, questions, lack of trust in the air

Why ask why

When theres nothing to despair

Its as clear as could be

I love you

We are truly a family

A bond

A formation

Of whats transpired

The need to no longer desire

As in our hearts

In our minds

Its what we find

Someone to love

With no animosity

Mistrust is not a must

What we share is something to embrace

No more, need to reminisce

Fantasize of what could exist

Much less desire

As baby we have transpired

And conquered the motions of doubt, mistrust

Sometimes A does not equal B

Does not mean anyone’s trying to deceive

Consciously aware of what surrounds me

Made my decision to never deceive thee

To love thee

To hold thee

To cherish ...

Battle of the minds

Tired of feeling…

The need to wrap myself around this protective shield

So many out there full of hate

Inflicting pain and sorrow on one another

Including your mate

Could there be someone out there

That can make me feel safe?

Safety is key

Security… the one thing woman dream

A fantasy that will never be reached

Or is this one man waiting to be found

To release is my dream

To be free as his queen

As indeed he shall feel the warmth and love

As he is to be my King...

Mission of Success

Distress is ones mission

Success a competition

Ironic…

In other places

Ones success is the next mans mission

Crazy

If you ask me

How we can fathom the thought

Of letting others control

Our own perception

Of what is in actuality

Considered to be

SUCCESS

Leading us to envision

Misconception

Taking our sense of peace

When we all came from the same seed

A rosebud

Awaiting to bloom

How is it

We can allow others

To Instill fear and doubt

Of what lies within the conquest

Of our career

Feeling the accomplishment of our goals

Are no where near

I must say

Even the strongest

Have a weakness

keeps us on our feet
transpiring our love
as it reaches a higher plateau
understanding your apprehensions
as this new life
was unexpected

re-directed
following our hearts
as the pulses increase
with every beat
lead to this new life

never retreat
At times
things may get rough

Accentuating the positive
is something I truly admire
no journey in life
