Privilege is neither black nor white.
Nor is it categorized based on
Wealth or religious right.
Though often labeled a stereotype of
Folks of the deep pocket persuasion.
"Privilege" is so often misconstrued,
It's called an invisible package
Of unearned assets when viewed.
Those who hold uncertain hope
In wealth and materialistic possessions
Fail to see the end results and later
Find themselves asking questions.
Man will have us to believe
That "privilege" is only for a select few
When in reality it's for her, for him
For me and for you.
You see, privilege isn't determined by
A process of elimination.
Distinguishing value between men
Is just good old fashioned discrimination.
So if we don't change our ways
And see as little children do
We'll never experience true privilege.
In the way we're all supposed to.
