Life in The Fast Lane

CATEGORY

just different

Life was always in the fast lane
Mama was the whore
A scorned woman never ashamed
Men in and out her door
She had children
Two daughters, now they are confused
Thinking that's what love is about
Letting men use them
Ruined by their upbringing
Innocent little girls
Not cherishing their pearls
Growing up thinking life is just about sex
Because mama was in the streets
Their values and bodies never protected
Eventually, the life she showed them
Numbered her days
Because mama died
And the cause was sex infected AIDS
Now the repetitive cycle did not end
Until they saw mama
Laying in her coffin
Life in the fast lane
New lane Life change
