Purpose
By Samuel K Byrd
Is it that our destiny can be determined by stars?
Or is it just pure dumb luck that has got us this far
Most of us search for some purpose in our lives
Only to be characterized as a mother, father as husbands or wives
But are we only defined by how we are perceived by another
Or is it something else that keeps us from going further
What was lost can be gained again
Sometimes we just need a comforting word from a close friend
The job is gone; your back to renting and you had to trade in the Jag
We need to focus more on what we have instead of what we had
Everything in this world is rented, borrowed, and will soon expire So live for you and not others wants, needs, and desires
