Welcome to the land, no I'm not talking bout stitched on an NBA jersey, literally welcome to the land, where police can light sixteen candles for sixteen shots they pop into a teenagers back for his happy birthday present, welcome to the land, where ferguson became more than a girl from Houston that I know, welcome to the land, see in this land, I can’t even walk down the street without white people calling the police and their reason being is that he’s moving, he’s still taking steps to his destination and I fear he may be actually walking to a nine to five or to buy a skittles and some tea, so Mr. police, please stop him before he commits an act of a legal citizen, you gotta be kidding, I always knew that they said the scariest thing to be in life was a black man, but I never realized that until my shadow disappeared in the street lights, told me that I know I’m supposed to follow you, but they may mistake us for two of you, and I don’t wanna take that chance, so I’m leaving you to fend for yourself, and I can’t blame him at all, cause if they handcuff me, they may beat the concrete, so I now I understand when I see cracks in the sidewalk or kids drawing on it with chalk, they were simply outlining the body of the black ghost that died there, and the ’s not fair, but it never has been, we are mere has beens they gather together for family reunions, and my family tree consist of Laquan, Trayvon, Freddie Gray and Mike Brown, I never met them in person but we are all distant cousins under the same umbrella, yet I’m the only family member who has so far avoided the rain, see you wanna know what pain is, pain is simply waking up everyday and knowing that they look at your skin as a sin, pain is me hearing that she is cute for a black girl because she's not lite bright and damn near white, and I’m sorry, you can talk about me, but you will not dare talk about my queens, they come in all shades, mines ain’t gotta lay out in the sun or put on black face, and let me apologize face to face, because it was once upon a time I almost got caught up in the sunken place, but thank God for TS mutha***in A, but the inititials you have for us are DOA, to harvest our DNA, sell my melanin on black markets, you want to be us without being us, tell us to shut up and dribble, well tell that to those white girls who want to shut up and dribble on our enlarged brains because your mini pigmentationcan’t think the same, I repeat, you tell us to shut up and dribble, well tell that to those white girls who want to shut up and dribble on our enlarged brains because your mini pigmentationcan’t think the same, that’s why your so famous for telling us not to think with our other head, because in bed, our gene pool is the X factor, so you manufactured the man made diseases through needles and prisons, and now you want us in this prism to literally *** each other so there will be no more brothers, but sorry, this here is custom made and not for anyone one who looks like myself, so place your boy toy back on the shelf cause that don’t fly around here, I savor the flavor of a black woman and vow to protect her at all costs, and my black ain’t for sale or rent, this is a high quality house and only mines step foot inside of it, so tell me again, whose land is this……..
