spark

life

playing at the park
running around, with their childish spark
doing whatever, they please
run crying to mom, when they scrape their knees
content inside, their sun-filled bubble
free of, any worry or trouble
.
then they, grow a little taller
and their world, gets a little smaller
their stuck, wishing for the past
because, the skyâ€™s turned overcast
and then itâ€™s all shiny lips
and a, meaningless kiss
.
just a girl, sitting at the park
wondering when, she lost her spark
itâ€™s amazing how sad, life gets
left here, smoking her last cigarette

Small apartments
Barely making rent
Cold day, warm drinks
A book, to make the world shrink
