When I first saw you, I didn’t wonder what was underneath your clothes, I didn't think about your occupation, your living situation, none of that, I simply thought to myself that the Bible lied all this time, I read through that whole damn book and it said that God didn't make any mistakes, well tell me how in the hell did He let something so damn fine fall from the clouds, I bet He created you, stumbled on the moon as He walked through space, dropped you, reached his hands out to catch you and missed, and with that he cussed for the first time and said ahhhhh , I done let her finedrop to Mother Earth, but what He realized is that when he dropped you to Mother Earth, you became an inadvertent seed in the dirt, rising above the soil as you were nurtured by warmth and watered on a daily, and then I stumbled across the garden, I didn’t know what time of flower you were so I started to brainstorm, you wasn’t a rose, you weren’t picked as the norm by everyone else, you wasn’t a tulip, put on dresses and other fashions for enhancement, you damn sure wasn’t weeds, you damn sure wasn’t a venus fly trap, what in the good hell were you...I’ll tell you, You were the tree from the Garden of Eden that God told Adam don’t touch cause one bite of your fruit would have me addicted, so I grabbed you, bit into your peach and realized how babies get nourished for nine months, you had a slight hint of mango from when I tasted you skin, your thoughts were like an orange, I peeled back each layer to taste who came before me, what not to do, how to please you, how to comfort you, how to console you, how to make you laugh, how to make you not cry and above all else on the last slice, I savored the taste of what would happen if you died...and it didn’t taste so good, so I spit out that last seed right into the dirt, next to the spot where you came up, and I began to water that spot, I found me a rope, threw that around the sun to pull it closer, cause I’ll be damned if this flower don’t come up due to cloud cover, I need another you, maybe two, maybe three, so I labored day and night with lil to no sleep, just to make sure you and our future was covered, and as I they came up, I realized, I never caught your name...you fell from the heavens as Eden, but your spirit sounds more like a Cherelle, beloved of God, so now I see why He was so damn pissed off, because he had to give up the one He loved again, the same way he did His son for forgiveness of our sins, but this time, no crucifixion was needed, he simply gave me the tools to nurture the treasure that fell from heaven, and into my backyard
