with her high heels, and painted face
her pretty lips, and long black hair
sheâ€™s nothing rare

she likes to change herself up
the only way, she climbs out of a rut
shadows, follow the sound of her feet
haunted now, she doesnâ€™t eat
insecure little thing, can you see it, in her eyes
or are you just eating up her lies
no, she wonâ€™t dream, not anymore
content, spending her nights, reading on the floor

inside, sheâ€™s filled with lead
might as well be dead
sheâ€™s barely awake
waiting for her world to shake
