I Know It's Been 11 Years But It Still Affects Us Like It’s the First..
It Was One Of The Biggest Events America Ever Versed..
And Till This Day Its Hard For Some People To Even Erase The Thought..
Doesn’t Matter How Much You Try To Neglect The Thought Or How Long You Fought..
The Thought Of That Horrific Day Will Linger In Your Mind..
Especially For The People Who Left Someone Behind..
See It Was The 11th Day Of That September In 2001..
Which Was Partly Cloudy With A Ray Of Sun..
Then At 8:46 That Morning Are Lives Began To Change For The Worst..
People Thought It Was An Accident At First…
Then At 9:03 That Accident Turned Into A Terrorist Attack..
For Some People That Is 17 Minutes They Will Never Get Back..
Then At 9:37 The Pentagon Was Struck..
Not Like This Day Already Began To Suck..
Our Nation’s Capital Was Struck By Another Hijacked Plane..
Not Like We Weren’t Facing Enough Pain..
Then At 9:58 The South Tower Decided To Give Way And Collapse..
People’s Minds Began To Relapse..
And Exactly A Half Hour Later At 10:28 Down Went The North Tower..
Now A Partly Cloudy Day Showed Signs Of A Shower..
3,497 People Died..
That Means The Rest Of America Cried…
3,497 Innocent People Died What For..
Cause A 3rd World Country Wanted To Go To War..
For What Cause We Were Stealing Their Oil..
That Is The Thing That Makes My Blood Boil..
For Them To Get Their Point Across..
We Had To Face Such A Big Loss..
Now That Is Daughters Sons Wives Husbands Moms Dads Sisters Brothers With Missing Pieces..
That Is Not Counting Aunts Uncles Grandparents Or Nephews And Nieces..
I Am Not Saying People Don’t Understand This Devastating Attack..
But I’m Just Pointing Out The Lives Of People That Won’t Get Their Loved Ones Back…
So 11 Years Later And It Seems Like The Other Day..
And For Some Of Us It Replays Everyday..
As Far As The Troops Go That Is Another 4,422 Who Died In The Line Of Duty..
So Someone Lost Their Johnny Or Susie..
These Troops Are Fighting For Our Freedom…
And Some Families Will Never Again See Them..
It’s A Cold Dark World Out There..
And It’s Not Fair…
Well This Poem Is Done..
