I walked through, those double doors
thinking, soon Iâ€™ll know for sure
I pulled it off the shelf, with shaky hands
with a nervousness, a man canâ€™t understand

the women at the counter, asked darlin you okay
I just nodded my head, afraid of what Iâ€™d say
and I walked to the restroom
Iâ€™d know for sure soon
.
one said yes, two said no
then the sadness came, real slow
because, for a moment I wanted more
and I broke down crying, on the bathroom floor
.
for a moment I saw, a green eyed boy, the spitting image of you
for a moment I saw, my life with you two
well I never told you, about the scare
or what I hoped for, I didnâ€™t dare
