You dibble
And dabble,
Challenge streams
Without a paddle
Then,
Look to me
As your saddle
When the ride
Is a bit more uncomfortable
Than you anticipated.
And like clockwork,
I break my back
To keep you compensated
For all the shortcomings
That the universe
Brings to your door.
I bring balance
To glories
That you attempt to force.
And like a burglar in the night,
You take credit
For the value
That I bring to your life.
If only you could see
That I’m the one you need,
Perhaps
You wouldn’t have to spend
So much time
Out to sea.
