Love, passion.
I’ve waited and I’ve wanted you,
You who were always just beyond my window
A hair breath away,
Yet forever lost, untouchable,
I lean in,
My breath fogs the glass,
Obscuring your face, intensifying my longing.
Run into the shadow, find a way to you.
To help quell our screams of fear, desolation.
you are so far away
yet close enough to hear?
Are you truly so near?
Reside within my mind,
Blocking all else, it is only you,
Need you, find you,
Rushing towards you.
I reach,
The glass shatters,
Tearing the flesh of my fingertips.
Ripping lines of liquid crimsen across my arms and chest
At last I draw you into my embrace.
I am Bloodied and battered,
Pale and shaken
Torn to pieces,
Yet never have I been
So whole
