Represent

What are you representing?, who do you represent?

Or are you representing with malice of intent?

Being led by the head, heart, soul, and toe

still holding on to thoughts of being rich and not po.

Cannot love others until we all can love self

this has been said since our youth, never mentions wealth

For over 400 years folks have been talking unity

that'll come when the soul's intact with the whole body.

Black pride, yellow pride, white pride, red & brown pride

a skin suit drug thru misery to shame, covering the soul inside.

What in heaven's name is the benefit, a gold star? a plaque?

a pat on the back? a raise? Whatever, light was born from black!

Colors of a rainbow aren't pushing one another over to the side

using racial slurs, verbs to adverbs, dilly dallying in man's pride.

Society have labeled us many names, quite a few by age ten

a classmate, church member, student, smart, even a heathen.

I've seen, and still do today, the so-called heathen, is breathing

must be doing something right, have something they believe in?

While I see the clergy have much energy to label then look down

they're misrepresenting the Christ, and representing the clown!

Especially having someone's life in their hands to be soul guided

everyone comes short, even me, cannot fool self nor try and hide it.

Though ignorance of grace is not known or some care not to know

there's no more excuses to life's abuses, let not pride steal the show.

It could be a simple red or blue, ie democrats to republicans, gangs

of crips to bloods, heavenly blue skies to hell's firey red domain,

I step back and give God a head nod, thankful, for representing my soul, colorless, save for the skin suit, also represents Him, as I maintain.
