you just confessed your love to me

I heard a fight and walked out to see

shocked by what I found

your bloody and beaten, on the ground

I tried so hard to break it up

you threw me against a wall, you shook me up

tried again, pushed me into a tree

with enough force, to not the breath from me

sorry doesnâ€™t cut it, I donâ€™t want your apology

I wonâ€™t love a man, who can lay his hands on me

Iâ€™m a scarlet, queen of the garden
what is it, that makes me harden
red lips, red dress
a 50â€™s make-up mess

pretty girls, donâ€™t eat
pretty girls, watch their feet
they hold in tears
built up from years
of being, a pretty girl

In this pale blue morning
I can feel, a storm forming
And it all begins
As the clouds roll in

apartments

Small apartments
Barely making rent
Cold day, warm drinks
A book, to make the world shrink

heavy

youâ€™re so heavy, heavy in my hands

with so many, secrets left to bury

I've been bitter

Iâ€™ve been, giving up slowly
next to you, I feel so lonely

Youâ€™re lying next to me asleep.
And Iâ€™m wide awake, wondering.

My breath is heavy, as it leaves my chest
