Crossroads: The Burden Bearer PT. 2

Speaking to you from the other side

of sorts, I know

our time was short,

Smile chile

I know you wanted me to stay a little while longer.

This hourglass drops the past

one grain at a time.

I’ve

sighed

at the sight of life,

Slipping through this narrow eye.

Swallowed my pride

I’ve moved my feet away from defeat.

Father Time showed me..

No matter how quick you be

no man escapes his reach.

Usain Bolt

the hope filled spoke on what they believe.

These burden bearers

share a weight I wished you would’ve buried

with me.

Let my sorrows carry on with me

with peace

I’ll piece together whatever why’s are left behind. Unanswered

chances are

you’ll depart

far from reality if you hold onto me.

And if this long distance call is met with a dial tone

Put it on my tomb stone,

“You’ve reached me at home...
