Listening to the classics
No, not Rhythm and Blues
But the mellow sounds of the ivories
The cellos and the sirenic sounds
Of the violins.
The Piano Brothers, David Lanz,
Brian Crain, Paul Cardall and
Fernando Ortega just to name a few.
Headphones on
Volume at a comfortable level
It’s a beautiful
Sunmer’s evening.
Thoughts are everything
But negative.
Classical tunes ranging from
Contemporary to gospel
Anthony Berger’s double play of
Were You There / Blessed Assurance
Begins to play
Calming me even more.
The rain quietly crept in
Gently washing away
The troubles of today.
I inhale deeply and accept
Nature’s beautiful scentsation
Allowing it to overflow my lungs
And lead my cerebrum into
A world of its own.
Just like Bloodstone,
Takin’ to the sky
On a natural high.
Music is such a great and beautiful
Way to calm your inner self.
As it works its way to your soul,
It becomes your conductor,
Your director and choreographer.
Leading you into an existence
Like no other.
Mr. Mangione said it best;
Feels so good!
Doesn’t it?
Music, no matter what genre
You listen to it’s the only entity
Allowed to enter your body
Without permission.
