Sometimes your mind goes faster than it should
Thoughts spread like wax on wood
If you could stop it then you would
But you can't so you act like it's all good
It's called anxiety, anxiety is what they call it
But something else drives it
Something like trauma or pain
Things of life impacted in your brain
Things that you cannot go back and change
Because they happened to you or someone you loved
They weren't intercepted by the man above
No intervention here just left in disdain
Left with the results of the pain
Out of control like fire and water
Like a bird on a ledge ready to fly
Anxiety has your wings and wants you to die
Up all night, mind's racing again
*** you Anxiety! I can't let you win!
