I let go

I used to know you
I Slept in your bed
Laid my head on your chest
There,

I felt that I could pass into the next dimension
And I would've taken you with me
But I know you would not come
I would have let you drift off
And,
There,
You'd find me
Dressed in ancestral clothing
Waiting for you
Sitting on your throne
Keeping it warm
I loved you
I gave myself to you
Burned all of the warning signs
Left them on an altar
And followed you into the depths of a religion that stole me from my birthright
But
I AM
I have always been
Here
With lightning striking me over and over again
The wisdom that I have gained
The power that I have attained
The knowledge of me that I have learned
With you, I knew how to become a free spirit but quiet

Kept in your captivity
In my naivety and youth
I understood this as love
From a god fearing Hippocratic young boy
Who could lead no one anywhere
And who did not know himself
And I wish that you could've bathed in this knowledge too
With your Jezebel
As I was called
Dancing in the sun with no shoes on
Twisting my magical kinky hair
Loving my body
My mind

And
Appreciating my soul
No,
I will not burn
Not in death
But I will burn into an enlightened flame
One of crowns and glory
Curses have been lifted
And children are plagued  no more
Mothers love their daughters
Fathers love their sons
The moon and the sun have been restored
The planet given meaning
My Hope is no longer hope
But a reality that you missed out on
And I hope that one day this mysterious universe makes its wondrous way around to your mind and softens the brick around your heart
And you begin to question without a fear of death whom it is that you serve
I pray that you learn yourself
And figure out who you really are
And in the end of these days
You can stand on your throne and rule wisely
As King David himself
And let your afflictions die with the old you, as I have let them die with my old temple
I have arrived, here in this space as a healer of nations
Wombman, and I love
I am in love
I bore a child
Gave him the name of God
And he will bear witness
To the strength of his mother
And the wisdom of his father
We will raise him in our ancestors light
And live not only in the world
But beyond
In greatness, In knowledge, in peace, in harmony, in wisdom, In love.

And to you,

I let go,

I release you,

I am love.
