SEARCHING THE SERUM OF FORGIVENESS...
Like Job milking each day
for answers flowing
from the sagging breasts
of contemplation, I float
in the cistern of innate focus
seeking redeeming wisdom.
A son once questioned his father
and when revealed unto him,
he said, "forgive..."
Now a father questions his son
and says: forgive. Forgive if you can,
for not knowing what
was done to inflict so much pain
and deluded disparity.
Though tears roll down
like a mighty waterfall
in the shadows of death—
like Noah's waters—I continue
to float in the grace of the Master;
knowing that death is merely
what was fought for and hoped
justice would one day be!
Into this world we came, naked, save
the experiences that would come;
we leave just as naked with nothing, save
the memories that we think
will go with our spirit—juxtaposed with
those we pray will be left with our going.
The keloid of pain cannot be felt
and the pain can only be known
when the keloid becomes as a womb
bleeding with the reality thereof:
revealing awareness that pain not known
can only be realized when it’s unveiled.
It is then that such lingering pain can be relieved
by the needle of forgiveness:
injecting healing serum of divine peace and love.
