I say a prayer everyday

kuz everyday I'm fighting a different fight

every time I step outside no matter what direction I go

Seem like I'm in a fight for my life

God and Satan is playing a game of chess

and the winner gets to own my soul

but if I already belong to God

how can the devil have such a strong hold

The blackman's life is up for sale

and being sold to the highest bidder at the cheapest price Some of us are paying with our freedom

and some are paying with our life

We got this hate for each other down packed

we been Killin ourself

Killin each other so much

that the police don't need no help.

How can a people so beautiful

be so ugly

How can someone hate me so much

after they just told me they loved me

Only thing we talk about is how many chains we got

and how many women we've layed with

If we not talking about investing in these kids or linking up to do something positive

then we really ain't saying ....

You might as well put a gun in your hand

Cause you're killing somebody else's dream

So Say What You Wanna Say

cause u never say what you really mean

The Rose that Grew from the Concrete Anything that's planted from the concrete is gonna be hard to grow all it's scratches and marks from coming thru the cracks is gonna show. How did that rose grow how did he survive How did he make it thru all of that he praised his way thru he didn't give up he shook that dirt off his back The most delicate flower coming thru the most grimiest place like the most beautiful person in the world but walking around with a hard look on their face The Rose that grew from Concrete Is like a child being born come into this world pure and innocent but end up leaving scarred and torn The streets is the soil the jungle where we fight to stay alive raised around drug paraphernalia and guns and the will to survive A mother struggling a baby crying looking for a reason 2 smile these are different petals of a rose where it takes a village to raise a child Where our tears water our emotions and our struggle is what feeds...

BLESSED There's something that's been on my mind that seems like forever as black men who are all in the same struggle cant find what it takes to keep us together. One day everything's ok and u chillin with your partna next day we making funeral arrangements trying to figure out who shot ya Feeling like I'm cursed out here while praying to stay blessed satan wants to see me at my worst but God is building me to be my best. They're playin football in them streets and it's been known to be a contact sport we use to lose and go home these dudes lose, lie on u and testify on you in court Life comes with some bumps and bruises that some of us find hard to heal from the devil might not even be chasing us but a damaged person takes off and still runs Take me for example I went to prison at an early age I had to bottle my emotions and hide my tears which turned into anger and some pinned up rage.
