With life the way it is today u can't be too safe
U have to protect your blessings with an attitude
and work out your own salvation
with a lil bit of gratitude
In school we're taught a lesson and then given a test
In life we're given a test that teaches us a lesson
with death getting closer to me everyday
the best thing I can do is count my blessings
Aint no such thing as a coincidence...
notice how everything in our life somehow leads up to the next but u can't tell that to a young hot head tryin to make a name for himselfout there banging the set
Some of us didn't find God til we went to jail
guess some things in life happen for a reason
Like watching gun violence claim more kids
then females do at tax season
It was hard to find God
on the blocks we banged on
Everytime I left the house my mama cried
cause she thought I was dead til I came home
Dudes like me can't ignore the fact that God is real
we stared death in the face many times but we're still livin being blinded by what Satan was showing me
made it hard for me to see God's clear vision
If anything, God has preserved me
while it seems like I'm going to a different funeral everyday Lord, I just ask that u use me to be a blessing or a testimony to someone if I can today MR. ROMARIO HUNT
