One square peg among a dozen round holes
Imagination exceeds my talent, motivation and goals
I always seem to be the guy on the team
That does all the work
And rarely gets praise from the boss/jerk
Comparing yourself to others
Is paradoxical, maybe their druthers
Think that your grass is greener
Impressed by your talent and charmed by your pleasant demeanor
Envious of age several years my junior or senior
Wisdom gives those time teachers
Dream achievers and goal reachers
Applause from rows of fans in the stands and bleachers
Collecting rays of praise like the sun at the beach
In lieu of fortune and fame, my own praise is all that I seek
