It has been said that nothing pains
more than having to think inwardly
of self. Indeed, we do not easily come by
the toughness of mind necessary to withstand
the pain threshold that inner sanctum
contemplation often induces in the search
for personal growth and truth within ourselves.
Apathy towards the inner state of self,
is what breeds apathy towards everything else;
leaving us soft-minded and fearful
of challenging the evident iniquities
seeking to destroy tranquillity in the river of life.
The liberation of and the peace of mind,
will always be prerequisite to the realization
of the mutuality in the destiny of us all.
It is in arriving at this state of awareness being,
that we gain the courage and strength to face
all uncertainties; secure in our God-given abilities
to transform the darkness of long weary days
into the exhilarating brightness of new tomorrows.
